Last Sunday was one of those really lovely days where everyone was in a good mood and the kids played happily without bickering. In the morning we headed over to Bridport Vintage Market. They hold it on the last Sunday of every month, on an old trading estate and we love going to have a walk around. Last summer they also ran the Food Market and usually had a vegan stall there which was the highlight for me but it hasn’t been on yet this year, maybe because it’s a bit early in the year. I hope so!
As the food market wasn’t on we headed into Soulshine café instead, they usually have a couple of vegan sweet treats (raw chocolate type slices) and an option that can be made vegan on their menu. I went for the beetroot slice which was nice, doesn’t taste anything like beetroot! I prefer the other one though which is more of a caramel slice.
As the sun was starting to come out we decided to head to some bluebell woods, we went to Wayford Woods near Crewkerne as it’s where we went last year. Luckily we were greeted by the same sea of pretty blue flowers.
The whole woods is beautiful at this time of year, so many pretty flowers.
And there was a entire field of dandelion clocks, the kids are absolutely obsessed with these at the moment.
I also made a little video of our day if anyone is interested, you can find it over on my YouTube channel.
